Kudos to Mystic Barrles and the Whiskey Barrel Planters

"The two whiskey barrel planters and the Japanese maples planted in them make a huge statement in our garden. I cannot be more pleased with the appearance, quality, and sturdiness of the planters. I particularly appreciate that drainage holes had already been put in the bottoms, something that I had not expected. My only negative is that the planters should be better protected in the boxes used to transport them. One box arrived with a big hole in it and the little bubble wrap was not sufficient to prevent a few minor bumps in the rim of the barrel. It was nothing serious, however. All in all, I am very pleased with the ordering process, the speed with which the two planters were sent, and the quality of the barrels. I highly recommend Mystic Barrels and their products."

Disappointed

"These were a birthday gift for my Wife. When I received the planters, they were meticulously packed, bound and wrapped in cellophane. A perfect job! but when I unpacked the planters I was disappointed to find them in a state of unevenness and not at all round. the boards were jagged and the rings were not set properly. I am not at all happy with these. I'm not sure if there was an error made in production or quality control, all I know is that I'm not sure if they will even hold dirt. If they do, then for how long. I didn't hesitate in the purchase because I previously purchased a barrel which was perfect in every way. I never leave reviews like this but I was so upset that I felt that I had no choice. My 3 Star rating is mainly for the packing and the shipping. the manufacturing and quality control is unfortunately lacking."
